Rapidos, Sprint Cross, Sprint, Laufen, Andreas Berger, Sigurd MeicheOn August 7, the Upper Austrian fair city will experience the first edition of RAPIDOS, the Sprint-Cross World Premiere, the only competition for the fastest runners. In front of the baroque facades of the city square, it will be a duel of four to see who comes out on top after 192.27 meters. The two first-place finishers will each advance to the next round, while the fight for victory will end for the third and fourth-place finishers.

There are no running tracks, as in the classic track and field sprint, in Sprint-Cross, and the right cornering technique will probably also be decisive. This is because the course is adapted to the respective venue and the start and finish are, if possible, close to each other.

For Wels, this means that there are two very sharp turns, plus a fountain, which makes a third turn necessary. This is where the races are likely to be decided, and there are sure to be spectacular scenes in the four-way battle at these key points.

For those who want to witness it for themselves: registration for this spectacular competition in 7 classes (women, men, juniors w/m, youth w/m as well as teams of three) is now open here.
